• Curriculum projects – As well as Languages, lessons have been taught in
PSHE, Drama and Sociology and further schemes are planned.

To develop long term
education programmes of mutual benefit for their students and staff.
This will be achieved
through:
• Short term teacher
exchanges. Visits should include opportunities to discuss educational
methodology, teaching and learning objectives and development, observation
of lessons, insight into educational systems in the host country, exchange
of resources and understanding of culture.
• Development of curriculum projects in specific subject areas covering and
meeting requirements of both countries. Some projects may be joint; others
may use resources from the partner country to run an independent scheme of
work. Projects may last any length of time and should promote cross-cultural
learning.
• Enrichment of language learning for both English and Chinese Mandarin –
development of e-pals and basic video conferencing to share language
learning. Provision of authentic resources to compliment teaching – eg,
tapes, menus, stories etc.
• Visits of small groups of students to partner country for cultural visits
and some language immersion.
