Professor Chris Binns from Leicester University is visiting the school to give a lecture and demonstration to Year 10 pupils about “superconductivity”.

This important area of science is a fairly recent development, and could be the future of electricity use for many people. The Japanese are already using this technology in their transport system via “Maglev” trains- trains that levitate above the track rather than running on wheels!

Pupils will be informed by their science teachers if they are able to attend.
