Year 8 recently visited the Tara Buddhist Centre in Etwall. We all had a great time. They were shown around the retreat by a Buddhist nun, took part in meditation, watched some of the statues of Buddha being decorated in gold leaf and saw how some of the Buddhist robes were made. Year 8 have been studying Buddhism since September and many of the pupils had interesting questions to ask a real Buddhist.
