Polesworth is leading the way with internet security software. We have
been a pilot school for new software called 'Policy Central' for several
months and the software is now being introduced into other schools across the
county.
The software takes a 'screen shot' of the computer if it is being used
inappropriately - such as accessing pornography or if rude language is used.
The screen shots are then checked and action is taken. This software is in
addition to the normal filter which exists on our computers to block websites
that may be unsuitable.
Free computer CDs are now being offered by the county council. These
CD's contain advice for parents on how to monitor internet usage at home.
