On June 21st 2007, our Year 7 pupils competed in the area
Athletics championship at Pingles Stadium, Nuneaton. Polesworth were
outstanding and gained 1st place. The boys gave a steely performance
throughout, gaining valuable points.

The girls were amazing, they forged ahead from the first event and continued
to achieve high placings to give them a massive 127 points, with the nearest
school to them gaining 69!

Congratulations also go to Hannah Sargeant in Year 10 who came 6th in
Heptathlon Regional Combined Events. The Warwickshire team came 1st.
Hannah will be part of the Warwickshire team at the English Sports Competition
in September to be held in Exeter.
